YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) Madanapalle constituency in-charge S. Nisar Ahmed said the party was giving priority to the welfare and security of its grassroots workers. He announced that party workers holding official identity cards would be provided with ₹5 lakh accident insurance coverage.

An identity card distribution programme for YSRCP workers was organised at Udumvaripalle in Kotavaripalle village of Madanapalle mandal. Nisar Ahmed, who attended the programme as the chief guest, handed over identity cards to party workers and spoke about the importance of recognising those working at the grassroots level.

He said workers who carry the party flag, remain connected with people and continue to stand by the organisation during difficult times constitute an important strength of the YSRCP. According to him, the identity card was not merely an official document but also a recognition of the worker’s association with the party.

Nisar Ahmed said the party was taking steps to strengthen the welfare and security of its workers. The ₹5 lakh accident insurance facility for identity-card holders was part of these measures, he said, adding that such initiatives would provide greater security to workers engaged in party activities.

Punganur party observer Jinka Venkata Chalapathi urged workers to take an active role in strengthening the organisation at the village level. He stressed the importance of grassroots participation in expanding the party’s organisational network.

Intellectuals Forum state secretary V.S. Reddy asked party workers to bring public issues to the attention of the leadership and consistently raise their voice on matters concerning local communities. Former councillor Prasad Babu said the identity card initiative would help maintain an organised record of workers at the village level while providing them with formal recognition within the party.

Meanwhile, YSRCP Hindupur constituency in-charge T.N. Deepika called on party workers to work collectively for the upcoming local body elections. A wide-ranging meeting and election preparatory session was held in the limits of Golapuram gram panchayat in Hindupur Rural mandal.

Deepika described workers as the backbone of the party and urged them to coordinate effectively so that the party could contest strongly at the panchayat level. She also asked party workers to explain to the public what she described as the government’s failures in implementing its promises.

Later, Deepika distributed identity cards received from the party’s central office to leaders and workers. Rural mandal convener C. Ramu, senior leader Sriram Reddy, district secretary Tipperudrayya, former sarpanch Devaraju and several other leaders, workers and supporters attended the programme.
