YSRCP to Hold Statewide Protest Rallies on July 28 Over Alleged DSC Recruitment Irregularities

The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) has called for large-scale protest rallies across Andhra Pradesh on July 28, alleging irregularities in the District Selection Committee (DSC) teacher recruitment process and accusing the state government of failing to address key issues affecting students and unemployed youth.

Addressing a teleconference with party leaders on Sunday, YSRCP State Coordinator Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy urged the party's student and youth wings to ensure the success of the demonstrations in every district. He said the protests would also highlight the pending fee reimbursement dues and the government's alleged failure to implement the promised ₹3,000 monthly unemployment allowance.

Sajjala alleged that serious irregularities had occurred in the DSC recruitment process, claiming that around 400 teaching posts under the sports quota were allotted using invalid certificates. He also accused the government of handing over the responsibility for handling question papers to a single individual, alleging that the move resulted in procedural violations. He said the party possesses evidence to support its allegations.

Drawing a comparison with the recent developments surrounding the NEET examination controversy, Sajjala said that just as Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan resigned following nationwide protests, Andhra Pradesh Education Minister Nara Lokesh should also step down, taking moral responsibility for the alleged DSC irregularities.

MLC Lella Appi Reddy appealed to party leaders to organize massive rallies in every district headquarters, inspired by recent protest campaigns held in New Delhi. He also directed leaders to involve DSC job aspirants, student organisations, and youth groups in the agitation.

The party has completed poster campaigns across universities and colleges and plans to use social media and WhatsApp groups extensively to mobilize support and carry the protest campaign to the grassroots level.

Among those who participated in the teleconference were YSRCP Youth Wing President Jakkampudi Raja, Student Wing President Panuganti Chaitanya, Working Presidents Addep Raju, Ravichandra, Thota Ramji, Harshith Reddy, and other party leaders.
