YSRCP to Intensify Door-to-Door Campaign Against Government From September 23

Former minister and YSRCP Vijayawada West constituency in-charge Vellampalli Srinivasa Rao has urged party leaders and workers to work together with a clear focus on winning the upcoming local body elections. He made the appeal at an extensive meeting of party functionaries from Cluster-5, covering Divisions 49, 50, 52 and 53, held at the YSRCP office on Brahmin Street in Vijayawada.

Srinivasa Rao, who attended the meeting as the chief guest, unveiled posters carrying the slogan “Backstabbing Party… Backstabbing Governance” and distributed identification cards to newly appointed party leaders. He said the party would intensify its campaign across the constituency from September 23, taking the message directly to voters through a door-to-door outreach programme.

Addressing party workers, Srinivasa Rao launched a sharp attack on TDP chief and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, alleging that his political career was marked by instances of political betrayal. He also referred to the events surrounding former Chief Minister N.T. Rama Rao (NTR), accusing the TDP leadership of having acted unfairly towards its founder. He further alleged that the present alliance government had failed to fulfil several promises made to the people during the elections.

The former minister also criticised the ruling establishment over what he described as the neglect of Vijayawada’s development. He contrasted the current administration with the welfare measures implemented during the previous YSRCP government, particularly in the areas of pensions and support programmes for women and economically disadvantaged communities.

Srinivasa Rao said the previous YSRCP administration had sanctioned new pensions every three months for eligible beneficiaries. He also highlighted schemes such as Cheyutha, Kapu Nestham and EBC Nestham, claiming that they provided financial support to women and vulnerable sections of society.

At the same time, he alleged that the alliance government had delayed the sanctioning of new pensions and accused it of failing to implement its promised Adabidda Nidhi scheme for women who have completed 18 years of age.

Srinivasa Rao said YSRCP workers would take the government’s alleged failures to every doorstep and explain them to the public. He expressed confidence that the party would secure the highest number of local body seats in Vijayawada West in the upcoming elections.
