YSRCP Workers Asked to Gear Up for Upcoming Local Body Elections: Vidadala Rajini

Former minister and YSR Congress Party leader Vidadala Rajini has called on party workers in the Chilakaluripet Assembly constituency to prepare for the upcoming local body elections and work together to strengthen the organisation at the grassroots level.

Rajini made the appeal at an extended meeting of the Chilakaluripet town unit of the YSRCP, held at the party office under her leadership. The meeting focused on strengthening the party, maintaining unity among workers, taking up public issues and preparing the cadre for the forthcoming local elections.

Addressing the gathering, Rajini said the development initiatives taken during the YSRCP’s tenure and the benefits delivered to people would remain the party’s strength. She said people would remember the work carried out for their welfare and urged party leaders and workers to build on that goodwill.

She called on the party cadre to work in coordination across all 48 municipal wards and remain connected with residents. She also asked workers to identify local problems and raise them with the authorities instead of limiting their activities to the election period.

Rajini also referred to the merger of Ganapavaram, Pasumarru and Manukondavaripalem villages with the Chilakaluripet municipality during the previous YSRCP government. She said the decision was taken with the objective of ensuring comprehensive development, better infrastructure and improved civic services in the merged areas.

She urged party workers to explain the public-interest rationale behind such decisions and avoid allowing political differences to overshadow development-related issues.

Rajini further claimed that there was growing dissatisfaction among people with the performance of the TDP-led coalition government. She asked party leaders and workers to regularly visit every ward, listen to residents' concerns and continue working for their resolution.

The former minister assured workers that she would stand by those who continued to support the party during difficult times. She called for unity by keeping personal differences aside and working in the broader interests of the organisation.

Rajini said people were closely observing the performance of governments and would express their verdict through the upcoming local body elections. She maintained that implementing promises made to the public was central to good governance.

Later, YSRCP ID cards were distributed to leaders and workers who had recently been appointed to various positions in the party.
